Most Western conference teams that want to make the playoffs. There is almost no winger depth to support McDavid and Draisaitl. I do like Reider, I think he would do well with McDavid.

Looking at the Oilers roster, I doubt they make it either.
Nashville, Las Vegas , San Jose, Winnipeg, and Los Angeles all look like locks to me.

Anaheim, Calgary, St.Louis , Colorado and Dallas are all better on paper than the Oilers and will probably battle for playoff spots🖕

Chigaco could be playoff bound or pure poop, but probably better than Edm.🤮

Van and Arizona are the only teams for sure that lick pouch and will win less than the Oilers.

I'm far from convinced that Dallas is better than us on paper and even Colorado doesn't look far and away better. I'd say Chicago is currently worse on paper, as well. We're probably in that playoff bubble tier of teams that'll compete for the wildcard spots. Whether we make it or not will depend on McDavid and the health of our blueline (Klefbom and Sekera).

They did have one of the best post-Christmas records in the league iirc. Something like 57% point percentage.
